Why Bloomsbury

Our location isn't accidental. Bloomsbury has been the centre of British literary life for over a century. Virginia Woolf lived and worked here. T.S. Eliot published from nearby Russell Square. The British Museum and British Library anchor an area rich with bookshops, publishers, and literary history.

Being embedded in this community connects us to London's vibrant book culture whilst keeping us grounded in literary tradition. When you visit, you're not just coming to an office - you're entering a neighbourhood that breathes literature.

What to Expect

Email Enquiries

We aim to respond to all emails within one working day. During busy periods (particularly September and the Christmas season), responses may take up to two working days.

First Contact

When you first reach out, we'll ask a few questions about your reading interests and which service you're considering. This helps us provide relevant information and, if appropriate, schedule a preliminary conversation.

Consultations

Initial consultations can be arranged for either video call or in-person at our Bloomsbury office. We're flexible with scheduling to accommodate working hours and time zones across the UK.

No Pressure

We're happy to answer questions and discuss whether our services are right for you with absolutely no obligation. Not every reader is a good fit for what we offer, and that's perfectly fine.

Before You Contact Us

Some questions we hear frequently:

Yes, please. Whilst we love impromptu visits, our team is often out meeting with reading groups or conducting consultations. Email us to arrange a time, and we'll make sure someone is available to meet with you properly.

We prefer not to, as good recommendations require understanding your tastes more deeply than an email exchange allows. However, we're happy to suggest starting points for specific genres or answer general reading questions at no charge.

Personal consultations can usually be scheduled within a week. Monthly collections begin the month following your sign-up. Reading groups may have waiting lists depending on the type and location, though we often have immediate availability.

Our monthly collection services include book delivery as part of the subscription. For consultations, we provide recommendations and you source the books yourself. We maintain relationships with several excellent independent bookshops and can advise on where to find specific titles.

Absolutely. If you have particular reading interests that align with a specific team member's expertise, or if you've worked with someone before, just mention your preference when booking.

We do occasionally collaborate with educational institutions and libraries on special projects or reading programmes. Contact us to discuss your specific needs and we'll explore whether we can help.
